A visit to North Korea

So we can both say we have stepped into North Korea! Here are a few pictures from our visit to the DMZ. It was a really interesting and I'm really excited we able to see it.

A wrong turn = Another hike to Namsan Tower

Now that Spring is finally here (Yeah!!) I have been trying to enjoy being outside as much as possible. I decided to head out for a 6 mile run on Thursday but that turned into another hike up to Namsan Tower and 7 miles total. I really can't complain because the scenery is beautiful and I'm enjoying some warm weather! The cherry blossoms are still in bloom and I can't get enough of them!

Jeju-do

Last week we took a few days off to head South for a quick vacation. Our destination was Jeju-do. It was a military sponsored trip so there a few things we would have changed, but for the price you couldn't beat it!

After enjoying my last morning in Hawaii, I headed to the airport. Flying stand by always makes me a little nervous, but everything has been going well so far! I'm currently at Narita and hoping to get to Seoul later tonight. I was lucky enough to sit in International Business Class and was completely spoiled. It was by far the best flying experience I've ever had! With seats that fully recline, plenty of drinks and all the movies I could watch I think I'm hooked :)I wonder what Rush will say about that...

My Second Home

The last few weeks I have been back in Hawaii. The weather has been really nice and the sun has been shining! I consider this my second home now, just because Korea is more like the real thing because I'm with Rush. It was really fun to come back to visit friends and get to stay in our new home. Hopefully next time, Rush will get to come back too!

Everything in the yard is in bloom! The avocado trees are just starting to produce, but I won't be here to enjoy them :( Maybe on my next trip back...
